Full day trip

We depart from Puerto López early in the morning, then we take a boat trip (1 hour and half) to Isla de la Plata. This island provides a preview of birds otherwise only to be seen in the Galápagos Islands: waved albatross, frigate birds and red-footed boobies. Sea lions can sometimes be seen on the small beaches. If you are traveling June until August you are guaranteed to see lots of whales in the area and the boat will stop for whale watching. Once on the island we will make a guided trip for about 3 hours to the highest point of the island. Once we get back to the waterfront again you will have time to do snorkeling to observe sea lions, turtles, many colorful fishes… Packed lunch is served before returning to Pto. López. Then back to the hotel.
